As a photographer, I spend my life capturing milestones for families across the North Shore, but nothing could have prepared me for the emotions of photographing my own daughter, Abby. Documenting her high school senior year was the definition of bittersweet. One moment I was focusing on the light, and the next, I was realizing just how fast the time has flown by. Sometimes I see her as the little girl who was so sweet and young and then I see the woman she is becoming.
Before heading to Rockport, we found a cute little fence area where we thought it would be the perfect location for her “country” look!
The we headed to Rockport, Massachusetts, a place that has a lot of meaning as we take rides there often to grab breakfast of just walk around the town and beach. Our family spends so much time here, and it felt only right to begin Abby’s senior session in a location filled with so many childhood memories.
We were definitely sweating, but we were laughing even more! We finally wrapped up the session at the beach in Gloucester, catching the sun as it began to dip. There is something so magical about a Gloucester sunset, especially when your daughter is the one in front of the lens.
Abby, I am so incredibly proud of you. Being your mom is my favorite job, and being your senior photographer is a memory I will cherish forever.
