There are sessions that go well, and then there are sessions like Brianna’s — the kind where everything just clicks. The light, the locations, the outfits, the energy. From the first stop in North Reading in a grass field with cowboy boots to our last location at the beach in Gloucester, this session had it all.
We Started in North Reading
We kicked things off in North Reading, easing into the session and letting Brianna get comfortable in front of the camera. This is always my favorite part of a senior session — those first few minutes where a girl realizes she doesn’t have to “pose,” she just has to be herself. Within 15 minutes Brianna had settled right in, and you could already tell this was going to be a good one.
Downtown Wakefield
From there, we headed to Downtown Wakefield for a change of scenery and a little more personality. Stone stairs, brick buildings made for a slightly editorial feel!
Cowboy Boots in a Flower Field
Then came my favorite kind of contrast: cowboy boots in a field of flowers. There’s something about that pairing — a little bit country, a little bit soft and romantic — that just works. The golden light hit the flowers perfectly, and Brianna’s boots gave the whole set an unexpected edge that made it so her. This is exactly why I love building sessions around what makes each senior unique instead of a cookie-cutter shot list. Brianna wanted boots in a flower field, and I was absolutely here for it.
Golden Hour on the Beach in Gloucester
We wrapped up the session where on the beach in Gloucester, chasing that last, gorgeous light of the day. The wind, the salt air, the way the light wrapped around her as the sun started to dip — it was the perfect closing chapter. Beach sessions always feel a little magical, and this one didn’t disappoint.
A Session That Was 100% Her
What I loved most about Brianna’s session wasn’t just the locations (although, wow) — it was how much of her personality came through in every single image. From the polished energy of downtown Wakefield to the free-spirited boots-in-the-flowers moment to the golden beach light in Gloucester, every stop told a different part of her story.
