There are senior sessions that follow the plan, and then there are sessions like Myla’s — where her personality, her style, and her love of dance turned an already gorgeous day into something truly special.
Myla walked into her session with a clear vision: she wanted images that felt like her. She has such a great sense of style, and she knew she wanted to bring some dance into her portraits — because why not show off a talent that’s been part of her story for years? We built the whole day around that idea, moving through four incredible North Shore locations to capture every side of who she is.
From there, we just wandered. Some of my favorite images from the whole session came from simply exploring and finding little pockets of light and interesting corners we stumbled on along the way. We found this pretty rose garden right in the middle of the street – and her dress matched perfectly!
Ipswich River State Park — Full Sun & Wide Open Fields
We kicked things off in North Reading at Ipswich River State Park, where there is this gorgeous field with bright full sun. There’s something about that golden, wide-open light that makes every image feel effortless and alive — and Myla brought so much natural energy to these first frames that we knew right away it was going to be a great day.
A Cute White Fence in Lynnfield
From there, we headed to one of our favorite hidden gems — a charming white fence tucked in Lynnfield. Myla changed into the cutest shorts-and-top combo, and this spot gave us that relaxed, girl-next-door feel that’s just so senior year. Simple backdrop, big personality — sometimes that’s all you need.
Dance Poses in the Rose Garden at Lynch Park, Beverly
This is where things got really fun. We made our way to the rose garden at Lynch Park in Beverly, one of the most romantic spots on the North Shore, and let Myla do what she does best — dance. Watching her move through the garden, showing off real technique and total confidence, was honestly one of the highlights of the whole session. Her talent shined through in every single frame, and these images are some of my favorites from the entire year.
Beach & Sunset to Close It Out
No North Shore senior session is complete without a little sand between your toes, so we ended the day on the beach as the sun started to dip. That golden hour light, paired with the sound of the waves, gave us the perfect emotional close to Myla’s story — soft, warm, and so beautifully her.
Myla, thank you for trusting me with your senior year images. Your style, your confidence, and your incredible dance moves made this one of the most memorable sessions I’ve had in a while. I can’t wait for you to see the rest!
